Professionally, I have been the lead team member on planning, managing, and/or funding of $454M of government, district, and nonprofit development projects and operation budgets.  Elected officials and administrators have honored me with oversight roles for $2.2B in sworn or appointed service as a private citizen.

Today, I am honored to serve as the Treasurer of York County, Maine, established in 1636. I am grateful to be a public steward in Maine and our Honorable Governor, Janet Mills.

Over my career, I’ve held leadership roles, contributed to government solutions, acquired multiple sources of funds, and contributed to policy. My recommendations on diverse subjects have been codified in city and state plans and legislation. I’ve made public testimony and presided over it.

I have had the honor of influencing decisions in capital planning, government operations, healthcare policy, zoning and authority projects, senior dementia care, tourism, preservation, and government affairs.

This work is not easy.  I have had plenty of life lessons. But I have also had many successful ideas and been in positions to see them happen.  My work has been varied. I have pursued being a steward of public service like a detective on a procedural. I am proud to be a founding member of American Association of Municipal Executives lending support to small places and workers.

My mission is that we all keep our authentic identity while using all the benefits of new advancements to provide quality of life and avoid the pitfalls of new technologies. This is not an easy path to plow in our vastly changing world. We can do it.

I urge everyone not to give up on their dreams.
